She Said He Said, Shoes

Take to the Skye

It fascinates me so much the range and quality of artisans that produce amazing things in the British Isles. One example are these fantastic sheepskin Eskimo Boot Slippers by SkyeSkyns. I was introduced to the brand by Natalie as she has one of their cosy sheepskin rugs on our couch at home.

But back to the slippers: they’re super comfy to wear around the home and very well-padded on the inside with thick fluffy lambswool. When we were visiting Scotland just recently and the supermoon was in the sky, I found them too comfy to want to take off and just went outside — they’re not made for outside use, though!

Originally I wanted the Dusky Pink colour (they would have gone well with my wedding suit!) but alas, Natalie intervened and got me the Blue Grey ones. Before I was rocking around in some brown Muji slippers, which were OK, but the synthetic materials made my feet cold and sweaty. Thankfully the natural fibres of these lambswool Eskimo boots make them warm and cosy while still allowing my feet to breathe.

In Winter time, these slippers are best accompanied with a warm fire (or heater) and a glass of Scottish single-malt whisky.
