Shoes of the Month: Ports 1961 Bow Sneakers
Inspired by my recent blog post “A Woman’s Right to Shoes” which was dedicated to my collection of very special shoes and following in the footsteps of fashion blogger Sandra Hagelstam’s monthly Shoe of the Month posts, I have decided to add a new monthly feature to our site as well. My very first official “Shoes of the Month” post comes a little early this time round, but it’s all for your benefit because it’s sale season and these beautiful and oh so comfortable Ports 1961 slip-on trainers are currently on sale.
I have been known to wear my fair share of heels but in the last six months I’ve been stepping away (pardon the pun) from heels and into something a little more comfortable and a little unexpected with now 4 pairs of “trainers” added to my collection of none. These, just like the Celine slip-ons are not for everyday wear but for really dressing up a casual outfit, or adding a touch of cool to a look that you want to dress down … like pairing them with your wedding dress for example … Just saying.
Shoes: Ports 1961 Bow Sneakers
Comfort: 5/5
These are among most comfortable shoes I own. The deliciously thick, padded soft leather insole and soft leather outer make them comfortable to wear right from the start and no need to break them in at home.
Quality: 5/5
Remember “Italians Do It Better“, they don’t make that claim for nothing! The soft quality leather and finish on these shoes is impeccable.
Sizing: They run true to size. Mine are a size 35, which is my usual size.
Price: These beautiful trainers are between £277 and £767 depending on the leather.
