Let me take you back to a little journey I took ba Let me take you back to a little journey I took back in 2019. I was 5 months pregnant with our first born and I decided to travel to the Scottish Borders to document the production of our knitwear from the spinning of our cashmere yarn @toddandduncan through to the production of our garments. I had no idea just how deeply this journey would shape the way I thought about craftsmanship. It reaffirmed my belief that slow fashion isn’t a trend by a way of making and wearing with intention. It also reminded me that Scotland, with its wild landscape and long-standing traditions, continues to be the engine behind everything I create for @riachistudio … you can read the rest of the article @livinginclips dot com for all of those of you have been really keen to read about our garments process and journey! Hoping you enjoy the article 🤍

“Over the past few months, let’s say approximately “Over the past few months, let’s say approximately six weeks, I have been planning and working behind the social media scenes at Riachi Studio, my cashmere knitwear label. I have been trying to bring together everything I’ve created and established with the brand so far, but had put on hold while bringing up the kids. Now I am back into my creative endevours full time, my goal is to curate it all and find the next path forward, with a direction that truly reflects what the brand is and where I would like it to go…”You can read the rest of my life update on my online Journal or Substack ! Hoping you stop by and have a read about the last few months and what’s in store for the next few weeks for my knitwear brand @riachistudio

A little appreciation post for our former life. Ba A little appreciation post for our former life. Back when we were well-rested, still communicated and blissfully unaware of the horror that is soft play. Though I can’t say I was actually particularly well rested here - I think I was having some kind of 8 month pregnancy crisis from doing over 20k steps in Amsterdam that day on little to no sleep! Definitely still looking better than 5 years into motherhood though that’s for sure ! Thanks for the cute memories @sannebolten
Lately, I’ve been trying to gather my thoughts and Lately, I’ve been trying to gather my thoughts and put them into words, which is no easy feat for me. I can be most inspired and creative when I should be asleep at night but too tired to act on it, and by day, exhausted and drained from staying awake with my thoughts, it can feel almost impossible to collect them and edit down my words “on paper”.It’s been exactly six weeks since I became a work-from-home mum after 5½ years of full-time stay-at-home motherhood. Creatively speaking, the mountains I have to climb are steep, and the work ahead feels immense but the transition has been energising. Even as I emerge from what feels like the tail end of the longest burnout, this new chapter is somehow exactly what I knew I needed to begin recovering from that.I’m currently pouring my heart into relaunching my beloved knitwear brand @riachistudio (the humble brag) before Christmas this year, it is an incredibly exciting project and one I feel truly privileged to be working on.Alongside that, I have been revisiting my blog archives, sharing old journals and travel imagery: little clips of life between France and Scotland that still feel very much alive to me, and definitely worth sharing on my favourite digital space www.livinginclips.comYou can read the rest of this excerpt @livinginclips @substack I
For those of you who follow me over on Instagram ( For those of you who follow me over on Instagram (Stories) will know all too well that I love to pack our Summers in Scotland with a very full program of adventurous sightseeing and activities both old and new. Each year, we make our way back to Brodie Castle and it has now become part of our families Summer traditions. The playful gardens in the grounds of the castle are just fantastic for kids; whether it’s hide-and-seek in the walled garden or a picnic on the grass, it’s one of those places where they can be both free and safe. The castle itself, with its rich history and character, is now cared for by the National Trust for Scotland, which means it’s beautifully maintained and open for all to enjoy. Yet, in a lovely twist of fate, Brodie feels more than just another historic landmark to me. Some 3 years ago, while living in our little village in France, I happened to meet someone who has since become one of my very dearest friends, who, as it turns out, is part of the Brodie family. It still makes me smile that this little thread of connection has tied my life in France back to the Highlands in such an unexpected way. I have actually been holding off on publishing this little Brodie Castle Playful Garden gem of a post for maybe more than a year now – since I thought it may offend my dear friend…. But I know that not to be true now so here is a little appreciation post for Brodie all things old and new overlapping in the most surprising ways.
