Shoes of the Month: Acne Adina Platform

I’m not one who gives in easily to trends unless I know it’s going to be a timeless classic in my wardrobe, which is why it has taken me so long to finally commit to this pair of Acne platforms first released in Spring 2012. They have been on my radar since then and I have been loosely following their decline in price on Ebay ever since. With all the girls wearing denim cutoffs and platform boots lately, a trend that admittedly is right up my street, I finally gave in to add these towering platforms to my wardrobe.

Shoes: Acne Adina Platform

Comfort: 5/5
These are among my highest pair of shoes but they are a platform after all so don’t be too fooled. Acne make footwear very well and in my experience makes them easy and comfortable to wear both all day or night long. The beautiful leather inner is comfortable as it is but I will add a pair of Gel Activ insoles to make them that little bit more comfortable.

Quality: 5/5
These are my first pair of suede boots, so not to stain the soft quality suede exterior I gave them a once over with a suede waterproofing spray I found at the local supermarket. The heel and platform are perfectly balanced and structured so you can walk comfortably with maximum support.

Sizing: They run true to size with that tiny bit extra room should you need a Gel insole too. Mine are a size 36, which was my usual size at Acne at the time. However, I feel they would best represent a size 35 (currently my usual size) now at Acne.

Price: These beautiful platforms can still be found new on Ebay (Were £550 NOW £129)
